We steward precious resources by finding more sustainable solutions. **Job Summary** We are seeking a Bridge Designer for our Bridge Sector. The ideal candidate will be working on projects including conceptual planning, through design, construction, and completion. You will assist or lead the design of assigned task of bridge projects to ensure reliability, resource efficiency, quality deliverables and cost-effectiveness. The position involves the development of bridge analysis, bridge design, culvert design and retaining wall design and layouts. **Responsibilities & Qualifications** **Responsibilities:** + Perform structural analysis and prepare design calculations. + Develop or assist in developing structural details and construction plans. + Prepare geometric / bridge layouts, construction specifications, and material quantity calculations. + Strong technical and communication skills with a commitment to quality. + Familiarity with AASHTO standards preferred. + Computer skills desired include Bridge Design Software, Microsoft Office, Computer Aided Drafting (MicroStation preferred). + Successfully interface with staff from a range of other disciplines (highway, traffic, civil, planning, etc.) to support a diverse range of projects. + Other responsibilities as assigned. **Qualifications:** + Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on structures. Masters Degree preferred. + 2+ years of bridge design experience. + PE license, or the ability to obtain one is preferred. + Familiarity with AASHTO design and standards preferred. + Excellent verbal and written and presentation skills. + Client focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions. + High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way. + Demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team, working together toward technical excellence. **Additional Information** T.Y. Lin International is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $80,000 - $120,000 annually for this position and local market.
