Job title : CNC Machinist

Reports to : CNC Supervisor

Supervisory responsibilities : None.

Summary/objective : Produces machined parts by setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine. 

The pay range for this position is $20-$32/hour, based on experience. Please note that the top-end pay of $32/hour  would include any shift premiums. 

Essential functions :

• Download programs and MDI ( Manual Data Input) as needed.
• Setup and machine to the proper programs and tolerances required.
• Recheck setups, change cutters and inserts, and make adjustments as needed to achieve the best possible results.
• Maintain appropriate tools and keep current on calibration.
• Keep work area clean.
• Follow all safety rules and report unsafe work conditions to management.
• Regular attendance at work during scheduled work hours.
• Employees may be requested to perform other job functions as required.
• Operate overhead cranes

Required competency, education, and experience :

• Experience with 3 axis mills
• A well rounded knowledge of cutters and inserts, and feeds/speeds.
• Candidate must have high school or equivalent education.
• Candidate must have valid driver’s license

Preferred education and experience :

• Experience with large mills
• Experience with right angle head
• Two years of machining experience
• Programming experience using Fusion 360 preferred

Work environment : Manufacturing environment

Physical demands :

• Candidate must have full use of all limbs.
• Candidate must be able to read and speak English.
• Candidate must be able to lift 40 pounds.

Position type and expected hours of work : Full time. Friday through Sunday 5:00 am – 5:15 pm.

Travel : None.
