Key Responsibilities:

- Risk Assessment & Decision-Making: Analyze and select risks for commercial property and liability new business. You'll also manage renewals and oversee the ongoing management of your portfolio to ensure optimal performance.
- Timely & Accurate Underwriting: Review submissions and make well-informed underwriting decisions based on company guidelines, ensuring that your decisions are timely and consistent.
- Organized Documentation: Maintain well-organized and complete electronic underwriting files in line with company policies and procedures.
- Broker Relations: Build and maintain positive relationships with assigned brokers. Respond to inquiries promptly and communicate underwriting decisions in a clear, professional manner.
- Renewal Management: Thoroughly evaluate upcoming renewals, ensuring that renewal quotes and nonrenewal notices are issued accurately and on time.
- Specialized Book of Business: Focus on underwriting property, habitational, real estate, and condominium accounts.

Qualifications:

- Creative Thinker: We are looking for someone with an entrepreneurial spirit who thrives in a dynamic and evolving environment.
- Experience: Solid background in commercial property underwriting. (Please note: this role is not suitable for those with a mortgage underwriting background.)
- Location: This is a 100% remote position. Candidates must reside on the West Coast, including California, Arizona, Utah, or Washington.
