FOOD SAFETY MONITOR

Responsibilities: 

• Monitor operations in the plant for any potential food safety hazards, such as, condensation, product contamination, employee hygiene, condition of departments, etc.
• Communicate with USDA and help resolve food safety concerns
• Be familiar with audit process, compliance, customer and USDA expectations for the facility and our products
• Be familiar with written plans and HACCP
• Lead the Cold Side QA Team when supervisor is not present
• Lead and attend product shows and communicate results to management
• Assist with product specification concerns
• Complete necessary reports concerning food safety and HACCP requirements for the facility.
• Other duties as assigned  

Qualifications: Education 

• Minimum high school diploma, GED, or equivalency
• Strong computer skills
• Industry experience preferred
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently without constant supervision
• Attention to detail
• Able to work in both hot and cold temperatures
• Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
