Eagle Point is a City of just under 10,000 people. While we are close to Medford we are also close to rural areas that provide access to fishing, hunting, hiking, biking, boating, and many other recreational activities. We are near the ocean, the high desert and the mountains.
This position works rotating shifts including, days, nights, weekends and holidays.
The department provides all required duty equipment, to include a new sidearm and uses red dot systems on all pistols. New department rifles will be issued this year, as well as full deployment of Taser 10's. We use the newest technology from Axon for bodycams as well as ALPR and Fleet 3 systems in our patrol vehicles. All patrol cars are new, 2024 models, and have new equipment.
We are a growing agency, looking for motivated individuals who want to serve a supportive community, be involved in numerous special events, and help to create new programs and crime prevention efforts. Our department is increasing training and looking at new special assignments to help increase opportunities and educational advancement.
