Job Description

We are a boutique law firm in Oakland, California with a dynamic and interesting federal white collar, antitrust, civil, and criminal practice. We seek a motivated and detail-oriented candidate with strong problem-solving skills who works well both independently and with others.

The position requires, among other skills, the following:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, PACER, and Westlaw
  • Significant experience with federal and state rules and filing procedures, including e-filing
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and make timely decisions about prioritization
  • Familiarity with eDiscovery software (Relativity, Reveal, etc.) as user and administrator
  • Ability to organize, review, and analyze discovery, as well as prepare discovery productions in both criminal and civil state and federal cases

Responsibilities also include various administrative tasks, including but not limited to the following:

  • Photocopying, processing mail, maintaining office supplies, billing, scheduling and travel arrangements
  • Maintaining hard copy and electronic document files, including archiving and coordination of offsite file storage
  • Maintaining attorney calendars
  • Drafting engagement letters, with execution via DocuSign
  • Creating and formatting pleading documents and correspondence using Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat, including cite checking and proofreading
  • Attending and documenting meetings
  • Other duties to be assigned
