As a Specialty Fulfillment Pharmacist, you'll primarily be responsible for performing the final quality check on our members' prescription orders, assisting in all areas of Pharmacy Fulfillment, and acting as a resource for the entire Fulfillment Team while also flexing to support other operational duties as assigned by pharmacy leadership.
**Primary Responsibilities:**
+ Perform initial telephonic counseling support and education of patients related to their medication(s) and disease state(s) at designated intervals following our Patient Disease State Management Procedure
+ Follow up with providers, payers and manufacture partners as necessary to optimize patient care outcomes
+ Implement strategies to optimize patient therapy persistence and adherence
+ Perform drug utilization review and evaluation of services and products
+ Train interns on system process
+ Introduce interns to specialty pharmacy and provide disease state training associated with disease states managed by interns
+ Train interns to complete telephonic patient management and all stated tasks above utilizing the four preceptor pillars: instructing, modeling, coaching and facilitating
+ Assign intern projects that provide value to the organization while also serving as a learning experience of the intern
+ Review and deliver feedback to interns on projects in an objective and timely manner
+ Track and drive patient care metrics (quality and quantity) with APPE interns and self
+ Work with Pharmacy Operations, Quality Affairs, and Information Technology (IT) to maintain and implement clinical services and programs
+ Work with Pharmacy Operations and IT in updating and maintaining clinical content and medication information in our patient management system
+ Supervise pharmacy interns including training, project evaluation and performance
+ Provide intern audits along with formative and summative evaluations and feedback

**Required Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctorate of Pharmacy
+ Pharmacy license in good standing in the state which they are practicing and the ability to become licensed in the State of Arizona within 90 days
+ 2+ years of experience working as a licensed pharmacist or successful completion of a PGY-1 residency
+ Ability to become a preceptor for colleges of pharmacy by July 2025
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ PGY1 Pharmacy Residency trained
+ Certified Specialty Pharmacist
+ 1+ years of experience in specialty pharmacy
+ Demonstrated experience organizing and managing multiple priorities
+ Proven solid communication skills - verbal and written
+ Demonstrated ability to supervise support staff and ensure an efficient work flow
+ Proven ability to work accurately in a fast paced environment
+ Proven commitment to company values and the ability to be a solid team player
+ Proven high level of Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
+ Proven self-driven
+ Proven passion for teaching and precepting
+ Proven ability to cast a vision for interns in the role of specialty pharmacy in terms of not only what it is, but what it can be and the impact they can have as specialty pharmacists
The hourly range for this role is $43.17 to $84.95 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
