  • This position is within our Operations Strategic Planning & Performance Department.which is focused on two key Corporate Strategic Objectives for our business: double down on operational excellence and passionately drive efficiencies.
  • The primary focus of this position is to drive structural performance improvements by leveraging advanced analytics and process structures to identify root cause performance drivers.

What you'll do

  • Focuses on translating analytics into actionable insights and developing our performance improvement plans in partnership with Operations. Partners extensively with frontline Operational leaders to identify opportunities and drive step-function operational performance improvement.
  • Utilizes statistical methodologies including Linear/Non Linear Regression, Probability Distribution, and Variance Analysis to develop predictive and descriptive business models to ensure efficient and productive performance outcomes in air and on ground.
  • Acts as a thought leader on operational efficiency
  • Leads project management of operational strategy initiatives, utilizing influence to drive initiatives to completion and spur incremental improvement
  • Assists in hypothesis development for root cause analysis related to reliability performance
  • Leads development of automated solutions using optimization in close partnership with subject matter experts to drive step function performance improvements while balancing ongoing process stability.
  • Develops and effectively communicates topics related to Operations performance to senior leaders, including Chief Operating Officer on a regular basis. Takes ownership of performance metrics in corporate documents, including those presented to our Board of Directors.

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Masters Degree in Business Analytics, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of experience in a data analytics centric business environment

 

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Experience in airline operations or operations analysis

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Ability to navigate and influence across departments and levels of the organization
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Proficiency in database applications and in conceiving programmatic solutions using SQL, SAS, Python, R, and other comparable tools. Proficient in Business Intelligence & ETL tools including Tableau & Alteryx
